The closing of one of Santa Cruz de Tenerife’s most renowned and popular nightclubs, Cinema + Drinks, took place on February 3. Located at number 1 on Milicias de Garachico square, the establishment bid farewell with its ‘last dance’ after a decade of operation.
Initially attracting an older crowd, the nightclub gradually became a hotspot for the younger generation, becoming one of the busiest venues in the capital.
However, in early April, patrons who enjoyed the music within its walls received good news. The cocktail bar announced its reopening under the new name, The Movie Social Club, through an Instagram video.
In the video, employees shared their experiences during the final days of Cinema + Drinks, with testimonies that seemed like a farewell until one staff member revealed the plan for their return.
Now, The Movie Social Club has revealed the date for its grand reopening. This weekend, it will mark its inauguration with free entry. On Friday the 26th and Saturday the 27th, the venue will once again set the rhythm of the chicharrera night from 10:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. “The real movie begins here,” they warned on social media.
The new signage of the establishment is already visible from Plaza Milicias de Garachico.
