This Wednesday, the Canary Islands’ skies will be mostly clear, with occasional cloudy intervals, as per the latest report from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). A day marked by moderate north to northeast winds, there’s a slight temperature rise expected, making the overall weather in the archipelago more pleasant.
The expected maximum temperatures will reach 26 degrees in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 25 degrees in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with minimums of 19 and 18 degrees respectively. AEMET also warns of the possibility of strong wind gusts in scattered areas of different islands.
Moreover, the sea conditions are expected to vary, with forces ranging from 3 to 5, mainly with slight to moderate swell, accompanied by northern groundswell of 1 to 2 meters. This condition calls for caution in maritime activities.
Island-wise Forecasts:
Both islands will experience predominantly clear skies, with some high clouds during the morning. Temperatures will remain steady, with a slight increase in maximums, and winds will be moderate from the north, intensifying in inland areas.
In Gran Canaria, the sky will be clear, except for some cloudy intervals in the north at dawn. Temperatures will rise slightly, especially in the south-facing and northwest areas. Northeast winds will blow moderately, with some reinforcement on the southeast and west slopes.
Tenerife:
Tenerife will also have mainly clear skies, though with cloudy intervals in the north during the central hours of the day. Temperatures will experience a moderate increase, with prevailing northeast winds that could intensify towards the end of the day.
These islands will have partly cloudy skies, with possible intervals of low or high clouds. Temperatures will remain stable or slightly rise, and winds will be predominantly from the northeast, with possible strong gusts in specific areas by the afternoon.
This optimistic forecast for Wednesday in Canarias predicts an ideal day to enjoy the numerous outdoor activities that the archipelago offers, although it is always advisable to exercise caution against possible strong wind gusts in exposed areas.
