This weekend in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, traffic will be impacted by a demonstration on Saturday calling for a change in the tourism model in the Canary Islands, as well as the Solidarity Race of the National Police taking place on Sunday.
Both events will affect the bus services of Titsa and the Tenerife Tram on their respective routes.
Saturday’s Traffic Adjustments
The planned demonstration on Saturday from Weyler Square will lead to route diversions for lines 902, 904, 905, 912, and 914 starting at 11:00 a.m. and continuing until the end of the protest.
Stops affected include Weyler, Plaza Militar, Capitanía, Parque García Sanabria, Méndez Núñez, El Pilar, Plaza del Príncipe, Villalba Hervás, La Alameda, Plaza Isabel II, La Marina, 25 de Julio, Buenos Aires, Manuel Hermoso, and schools La Salle and La Salle.
Metrotenerife will adjust Line 1 services, with stops at Weyler, Teatro Guimerá, Fundación, and Intercambiador de Santa Cruz rendered inoperative. Trams will only operate between Trinidad and La Paz until normal circulation is authorized by Local Police.

Sunday’s Traffic Changes
The National Police Solidarity Race on Sunday, beginning at 11:00 a.m., will see street closures from 10:15 a.m. onwards for the sporting event.
Road closures will affect Marítima Avenue, lanes towards San Andrés, the Vía Litoral tunnel, Francisco La Roche Avenue, San Sebastián Avenue, Bravo Murillo Avenue, and more.
For vehicles needing access to Anaga neighborhoods, temporary two-way traffic will be enabled along specific routes.
Plan alternate routes if you usually travel along Constitución Avenue or towards Marítima Avenue-Anaga Avenue.
