Tenerife is set to offer a plethora of gastronomic, cultural, and sports events this weekend, including the latest edition of Burger Fest Canary Islands, the Day of the Book celebration, and the II Rallysprint Arico 2024. DIARIO DE AVISOS has curated a selection of the finest activities taking place on the island over the next few days, alongside the demonstration ‘The Canary Islands have a limit‘, scheduled for tomorrow Saturday, advocating for a shift in the economic model in the Archipelago.

April Festivities in Tegueste. The Tegueste festivals, culminating on April 28 with the popular Pilgrimage honoring San Marcos Evangelista, will feature performances by La Chalana, Los Vándalos, and La Maldita DJ starting at 10:00 p.m. this Friday at San Marcos Square. The Romera Mayor and Romera de Mayores gala will take place on Saturday at 10:00 p.m. For the younger audience, Sunday will offer activities starting at 12:00 p.m.

Home Fair. The Tenerife Fairgrounds will be hosting the ‘Renew Home 2024‘ fair this weekend, a new initiative aimed at promoting and facilitating sales for companies in the home and renovation sector. The inaugural edition will run from April 18 to 21 with free admission. Doors will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., featuring various talks focused on the sector.

Burger Fest. The Plaza del Adelantado in La Laguna, along with its adjacent parking lot, will host the fourth edition of the Canary Islands Burger Fest, where the finest hamburger establishments in Tenerife will showcase their offerings. From April 19 to 21, more than 30 stalls will be set up, offering a diverse range of urban cuisine products, including the renowned Briochef, the best hamburger from Madrid.

FamilyFest. This Saturday, April 20, the Secundino Delgado Park in the Salamanca neighborhood of Santa Cruz will be the venue for a day of family fun at the FamilyFest event from 10:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Activities will range from workshops and musical performances to games and a gastronomy area with food trucks.

Rally in Arico. Motor enthusiasts can look forward to the II Rallysprint Arico 2024 taking place on April 19 and 20.

Observing comet 12P. A “magnificent comet” is currently visible in the skies over the Canary Islands. Known as 12P Pons-Brooks, this celestial body is one of two comets that can be observed with the naked eye from the Archipelago this year. Expected to appear as a blue-green cloud this weekend, especially close to the Sun on April 21, the IAC recommends the use of binoculars or telescopes for a more detailed observation.
