“Currently, having perfect nails has become essential when it comes to beauty. Being a trend and preference for a large majority, long nails with an oval or almond shape are preferred over short, square nails,” says Cristina Gil, owner of Mandarina Nails in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

“Our team consists of nail technicians, we perform manicures and pedicures in all their techniques: traditional and semi-permanent methods, gel and acrylic, mastering each one perfectly. We increasingly work on nail art, and all our decorations are hand-painted,” explains the businesswoman from Tenerife, “which adds extra value to our work.”

By appointment only

The success of the business is such that they now only serve customers by appointment. “We opened in May 2017 and the quality of service we want to offer has always been very important to our clients. We try to make coming here not only about leaving with perfect nails, but making the moment a small pause in the daily whirlwind to dedicate it to oneself.”

Hand hygiene

Another fundamental aspect highlighted by users is hygiene. “We have approved equipment for complete disinfection of all materials to be used, as well as the intensive cleaning and disinfection of the entire centre, which is done three times a day. In our centre,” the businesswoman continues, “we only work with OPI nail polishes, the leading brand worldwide. It is essential for us to work with the best not only for the quality of the finish, but also for the components themselves.” “Our centre caters to all types of clients,” insists Gil.

Most demanded service

“The most demanded service is the semi-permanent manicure, as its duration is longer than that of the traditional one, lasting between 2 and 3 weeks, and its finish is much shinier (more intense shine),” concludes the young woman.
