The ‘Refresh Home’ exhibition will unite 75 firms at the Exhibition Centre

The Exhibition Centre of Tenerife will host the ‘Refresh Home 2024’ fair from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21, where 75 companies will participate and there will be 170 stands related to the construction and renovation sector.

‘Refresh Home 2024’ will offer visitors, all they need in enclosures and awnings, paint, swimming pools, kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, gardening, automatic doors, aluminium and glassware, furniture and decoration, home automation, solar panels, water purification systems, prefabricated houses, alarm systems and real estate, as well as surveyors, architects and independent professionals who can advise or assist in project financing, all in one place.

The first edition will have 12,000 square meters of exhibition space and free entry. This event aims to meet the demand for one of the most sought-after fairs in recent years, given the growth of this sector and the needs of customers looking for the convenience of being able to meet, gather information, compare, and hire the different providers necessary to undertake their projects.

‘Refresh Home’ is organized by the Tenerife Island Corporation and the Island Exhibition Institution, with the collaboration of the Provincial Federation of Construction Entities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Fepeco).

The Vice President of the Exhibition Centre and Industry Councillor, Manuel Fernández, celebrates “the warm reception given to this initiative, held for the first time, among companies in the sector, which aims to promote and facilitate sales in the renovation and home sector overall”. Fernández emphasized that “one of the lines of work we are promoting from the island government for this term is the revitalization of all economic sectors of Tenerife, and construction has historically been one of the pillars of the island’s economy”.

The president of the construction employers’ association, Óscar Izquierdo, pointed out at the presentation of this fair a fact that shows the importance of the sector: “Most of the employment generated by the sector is concentrated in renovation tasks.” In Canary Islands, more than 59,000 people work in construction and in 6,000 companies. He assured that the figure is evenly distributed between the two provinces. 98% are micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, and self-employed individuals. “That is why this event is of special value,” Izquierdo concluded.
