A man will stand trial next week accused by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prosecution Office of being responsible for assault causing injury, for which he faces a four-year prison sentence.
The Prosecution Office also argues that he must pay 8,600 Euros for the repercussions and damages suffered by the victim, as well as any medical expenses that may be determined in the sentencing phase due to the loss of two teeth and damage to another.
The accused was in La Laguna when, without any prior altercation, he struck the complainant forcefully in the mouth with his elbow, intending to cause physical harm.
As a result, the victim suffered injuries resulting in the loss of the central incisor and another lateral incisor, requiring 30 days of treatment with temporary and moderate loss of quality of life.

Although hospitalization was not required, his daily activities were affected, along with developing full loss of the two teeth. Also affected was a third tooth, the long-term evolution of which will be assessed, causing slight aesthetic impairment.
