With the heatwave approaching, the Santa Cruz City Council and Titsa, the urban transport provider, are taking steps to boost one of the most popular bus lines for trips to the beach. To cater to the expected surge in passengers heading to Las Teresitas beach, as well as the emerging destinations such as El Block or Los Charcos in Valleseco, two additional bus frequencies will be added to line 910 this weekend. The increased services will operate in the morning and afternoon, connecting the Santa Cruz Exchange with the coastal town of San Andrés.
The Mobility department, overseen by Evelyn Alonso, emphasises the administration’s strong commitment to promoting public transport as an efficient means to avoid congestion at Las Teresitas. Alonso points out that “line 910 (Santa Cruz Exchange-Avda. Marítima-Plaza de España-Avda. Fco. La Roche-Avda. Anaga-Valleseco-Bufadero-María Jiménez-Dique del Este-Cueva Bermeja-Dársena Pesquera-Avda San Andrés-Playa de Las Teresitas) includes a stop in Valleseco, providing convenient access to its two newest bathing spots.”
