Man Rescued on Cable Car After Mountain Fall on Mount Teide



Tenerife fire brigade saved a 42-year-old man who fell and injured his back on Mount Teide on Monday.

Firefighters from Tenerife Consortium provided initial aid to the victim. Once stabilized, he was carried on a stretcher to the top station of the cable car and then transferred to the base station.

Emergency personnel from Canario Service were waiting for him. Initially, they diagnosed him with a moderate back injury without complications.

He was later taken to Hospiten Bellevue University Hospital in a basic life support ambulance.

Civil Guard, Local Police, and the General Corps of the Canarian Police were also alerted by 1-1-2.
