The team at the Local Police of El Rosario has welcomed four new agents who have now started serving on the streets of the municipality. These agents, who took office in October last year, are commencing their duties to the community after completing their training at the Canarian Security Academy, which is part of the Government of the Canary Islands. The Mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, welcomed them and wished them luck in their roles.
The mayor highlighted that the addition of these agents to the Local Police force, which will soon be supplemented by a fifth agent from a transfer process, “will enable better service provision and alleviate the workload that the current team has to handle in covering various events, surveillance tasks, and daily administrative functions”. Consequently, they are now part of the special surveillance operation on the coast for the Easter holiday period.
Furthermore, the leader of Rosario expressed gratitude towards the agents who “despite not having a full team have always performed their duties with utmost professionalism”.

The four new agents recently completed their training period, where they received 560 hours of face-to-face training over eighty days, in addition to 430 hours of online training. The selection process to fill the four vacancies began in April 2021, with almost 300 applicants applying.
