A user reported on Monday, 18th March, leaks in the roof of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange parking lot. The situation has worsened in recent days, but it is claimed that the incidents were reported to Titsa beforehand, without the transport company offering a solution. Specifically, at the exit to Avenida Víctor Zurita Soler, several wet floor signs warn of a considerable-sized puddle near the barrier.

The leaks come from the upper floors and occur not only when it rains, as it has been happening constantly over the last few months. Vehicles parked in the area have to drive through the puddles to exit the building. The dripping from the walls and ceiling is incessant. The images show how water falls near two connection boxes on the ceiling.

The Tenerife Council, the body to which the transport company belongs, indicates that the leak was detected a few weeks ago. As it is an issue external to the Interchange, the responsible company, Enmasa, is working to identify the pipe where the damage is occurring in order to repair it as quickly as possible. In the meantime, the parking lots remain open to the public.

Extended Closure of the Escalators

Another major complaint regarding the Santa Cruz Interchange is the closure of the escalators connecting the different levels. The closure has been prolonged for several weeks, causing complaints from users with reduced mobility. According to the Tenerife Council, the company responsible for the repairs is awaiting the arrival of materials to proceed with the fixing. Currently, there is no estimated date for its reopening.

User @Dimasma1 shared on X (former Twitter) an image of the closed escalators with a sign announcing maintenance work. They acknowledge that the Interchange generally provides quality services, however, following the closure of the escalators, the elevators in the terminal are not sufficient to ensure proper mobility for all citizens.
