The roadworks on the access road to Taganana and Almáciga began in September and it was supposed that in October they would pass through that area, to avoid problems for beach users during this season. However, it remained as a mere statement of intentions, lament villagers and business owners in the area, who warn about the coincidence of the roadworks with Holy Week, precisely when a higher influx is expected in Almáciga.
Those affected believe that “more chaos is generated, and on top of that, bad solutions are provided”, expressing their disappointment for the area with improvements that “come late and poorly”, citing as an example the demand for public transport, which is insufficient for residents.
