WEATHER FORECAST IN THE CANARY ISLANDS | What to Expect on Thursday in the Canary Islands?

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has forecast for this Thursday partly cloudy skies, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon, with minimum temperatures remaining steady and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly along the coasts, with light northeast winds.

The wind will pick up slightly towards the end of the day, according to the forecast.

As for the sea conditions, there will be west to southwest winds force 3 or 4, locally reaching 5, changing to northeast winds with slight to moderate waves, and locally rough seas; on the east, west, and southwest coasts, winds will be variable force 2 with slight to moderate waves.

There is expected to be a northwest swell with waves of 2 metres decreasing slightly, occasional showers, and locally regular visibility until mid-afternoon.

The island-specific forecast is as follows:

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon. Clouds may return to the northeast later in the day. A low probability of light, scattered rainfall in the north during the early hours. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly rising, while maximum temperatures will slightly decrease, especially along the coasts. Light to moderate north to northeast winds, intensifying from midday on the southeast and northwest slopes. Sea breezes on the southwest coast.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 18 23

Partly cloudy, except for some cloudy intervals during the first half of the day, which may return to the north later in the day. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly rising, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly in the north. Light north to northeast winds, becoming slightly stronger towards the end.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Arrecife 15 25

Partly cloudy, except for some cloudy intervals during the first half of the day. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly rising, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly in the east. Light north to northeast winds, becoming slightly stronger towards the end.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Puerto del Rosario 16 24

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly decreasing, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly along the coasts. Light north to northeast winds, becoming slightly stronger towards the end of the day. Sea breezes on the north and southwest coasts.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 18 24

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly decreasing, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly along the coasts. Light north to northeast winds, becoming slightly stronger towards the end of the day on the east and northwest ends. Sea breezes on the south coast.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastián de la Gomera 16 24

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly decreasing, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly along the coasts. Light north to northeast winds, occasionally stronger on the southeast slope. Sea breezes on the northeast and west coasts.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de la Palma 16 23

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly clear in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures remaining steady or slightly decreasing, and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, mainly along the coasts. Light north to northeast winds, becoming stronger towards the end of the day. Sea breezes on the north and southwest coasts.
