In a multiple collision inside the Güímar tunnels on the TF-1 motorway in Tenerife, a 20-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman sustained injuries of varying severity. This was reported by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center of 1-1-2 in the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon in the direction of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) personnel promptly responded to the scene. Upon assessment, it was determined that the young man had moderate back injuries and was subsequently transferred to San Juan de Dios Hospital for treatment.
Additionally, a woman experiencing an anxiety crisis and minor burns, without any complications, was also attended to. She was then taken to Parque Tenerife Hospital for further care.
Highway Conversation Service officials arrived at the scene to clear the road, and Civil Guard officers were present to manage traffic flow. Significant delays were reported in the area, and the necessary documentation was processed.
