SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 7th March (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Canary Islands government will commence the application period on April 8 for the upcoming academic year 2024/2025 for students in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Compulsory Secondary Education.

The deadline for applying for Baccalaureate and Adult Education will start on April 24.

Managed by the General Directorate of Administration of Centers, Schooling, and Complementary Services of the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity, and Sports, the process will run until the 22nd, impacting students in over eight hundred publicly funded educational establishments across the archipelago: public early childhood education schools, primary education schools, primary and secondary education schools, compulsory education centres, secondary education institutes, centers affiliated with the group of unitary schools, and the network of adult education centres.

Applications and required documentation can be submitted electronically via the link available on the Ministry’s website, or in person, directly at the chosen centre as the primary option. According to a Ministry statement, applicants will find the necessary form to complete at the selected centre.

Both the Ministry and the institutions have initiated the admission process by releasing information regarding their specific attributes, such as the educational project, regulations, and the schedule for appeals and complaints.

Upon conclusion of the application period, the provisional lists of accepted, rejected, and excluded applications will be published on May 29 for Early Childhood and Primary, and on June 7 for Secondary and Baccalaureate levels.

In addition, the period for submissions to the provisional lists and withdrawal of applications will run from May 29 to June 3 for Preschool and Primary, and from June 7 to 12 for ESO and Baccalaureate.

Furthermore, the final lists of accepted, rejected, and excluded individuals will be published on June 18 for Early Childhood and Primary Education, and June 28 for ESO and Adult Education.

Registration for continuing students will take place from May 6 to May 24 for Early Childhood and Primary, and from June 24 to July 11 for ESO and Baccalaureate.

The regular registration window for students participating in the admission process will be from June 18 to June 26 for Early Childhood and Primary, and from June 28 to July 11 for ESO and Baccalaureate levels.

Additionally, this year sees an advancement in the application timeline for admission to Vocational Training, Professional Education in Plastic Arts and Design, Sports Education, Elementary and Professional Music Education, and Language Education.

BASIC GRADE CYCLES

Consequently, the application period for basic, intermediate, and advanced vocational training cycles will run from April 9 to 23.

Provisional lists of accepted, reserved, and rejected applications in each center will be released on June 10, with a period for objections or withdrawal set between June 10 and 14. The final list will be available by July 1st.

Registration formalities for Vocational Training programs can be undertaken from June 24 to July 10.

Moreover, a window will open from July 15 to 24 for courses that, following the standard enrolment period, have vacancies and no reserve lists.

Applications will be accepted post-deadline until groups are filled in chronological order. As an extraordinary measure, a period for requesting places in intermediate and higher-level training cycles with vacancies and no reserve list will be open from September 5 to 9.

For intermediate and higher-level training cycles in plastic arts and design, the General Directorate of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education has set the deadline for enrolment and registration for the specific access test between the 9th and 23rd of April.

The provisional lists will be published on May 2, followed by the final lists on the 9th, with the entrance exam scheduled for the 23rd.

Registration for admitted individuals or continuing/repeating students will take place from June 24 to July 10.

SPORTS TEACHINGS

Application for special regime sports teaching will also occur from April 9 to 23, with the final lists slated for publication on May 10, and specific access tests to be conducted from May 13 to 16.

Subsequent to the list publication on June 27, the registration period will be open from June 24 to July 9.

For elementary and professional music education, entrance exams are scheduled from July 10 to 20, following the application deadline from April 9 to 23.

Post publication of grades and the claims process, the final lists of accepted candidates will be released on July 28, with standard registration open from June 17 to July 8.

Those interested in enrolling in special regime language teaching can apply from April 9 to 23.

The provisional list of candidates registered for the qualification test will be published on May 14, with the evaluation taking place on May 29.

Final lists will be disclosed on June 25, with registration formalities scheduled from June 6 to 20 for continuing students, and from June 26 to July 10 for new applicants.

Registration formalities for Early Childhood and Primary centers can be completed from June 20 to 27. As for promoted and non-promoted ESO and Baccalaureate students, the designated period is from July 3 to 14.
