What’s the Weather Forecast for this Friday in the Canary Islands?

Expect mainly clear skies with some cloudy intervals during midday in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura this Friday, while the rest of the islands will see cloudy intervals with possible weak and occasional rains in the northern mountainous areas during the first half of the day, according to the forecast from the State Meteorological Agency.

There is also a chance of some light rain in the southern inland areas during midday.

Minimum temperatures remaining relatively stable. Maximum temperatures will slightly to moderately decrease, more noticeable in midlands and high areas. Weak frosts expected in the mountain tops of Tenerife and La Palma. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday.

At sea, expect north or northeast winds force 4 or 5, locally reaching 6 on the west and southeast coasts until dawn. Rough or very rough sea conditions. Northerly swell of 1 to 2 meters increasing to 3 meters. On the south coast, variable between 1 to 3 and moderate swell.

FORECAST FOR THIS FRIDAY BY ISLANDS:

In the north, mostly cloudy skies with a chance of light and occasional rain until midday, mainly in the midlands. By the afternoon, it will tend to clear up, with cloud cover increasing again towards the end of the day. In other areas, expect mostly clear skies, with some clouds in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures will stay stable. Maximum temperatures will slightly to moderately decrease, notably in inland areas and the southern slopes. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday.

Anticipate generally clear skies with some cloudy intervals during midday. Minimum temperatures unchanged. Maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, especially in inland areas. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday.

FUERTEVENTURA

Forecasts indicate generally clear skies with some cloudy intervals during midday. Minimum temperatures unchanged. Maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, more noticeable in inland areas. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

TENERIFE

Cloudy intervals with a chance of light and occasional rain in the north during the first half of the day, and not ruling out the possibility in the southern midlands in the afternoon. Minimum temperatures stable. Maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, notably in the highlands and midlands of the south and west. Weak frosts expected in central peaks. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday. In central peaks, moderate northwest winds, occasionally strong overnight.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 17 21

In the north, expect intervals of cloudiness with a chance of light and occasional rain during the first half of the day, mainly in the midlands, transitioning to mostly clear or sunny skies by the afternoon. In other areas, anticipate mostly clear skies with some clouds around midday when some light and occasional rain is possible. Minimum temperatures stable. Maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, notably in inland areas. Winds coming from the north.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastián de la Gomera 17 21

LA PALMA

Cloudy intervals with a chance of light and occasional rain in the north at the start and in inland areas in the afternoon. Temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, notably in midlands and peaks. Weak frosts expected in mountain tops. Winds from the north shifting to northwest by midday.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Santa Cruz de la Palma 16 20
