A 44-year-old man in Tenerife has been apprehended by the General Corps of the Canarian Police for allegedly committing offences including sexual assault on minors under sixteen years of age, indecent exposure, sexual incitement, and exploitation of minors.
The police operation under the name Querubín commenced in early February following the testimony of several now adult individuals who disclosed to their parents about the abuse they endured from a family member between the ages of 8 and 12.
Earlier this week, law enforcement officers conducted a search at the suspect’s residence, seizing various electronic gadgets likely containing multimedia material related to the crimes. This information was disclosed by the Canarian Police.
Following a thorough examination of the devices, a significant number of videos allegedly filmed by the suspect were recovered.
Throughout the investigation, the General Corps of the Canarian Police collaborated closely with the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The judiciary has issued an arrest warrant for the individual in custody, as the inquiry continues and all seized materials are being analysed.
