SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Mar. 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Premiering in Spain this Tuesday at the Víctor Cinema in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo presents ‘Damsel’, a film produced by Netflix following five years of “highly intense” effort to craft a “deeply challenging” project.
The film’s intricacies were revealed to the press by Fresnadillo himself, flanked by the Culture Minister of the Cabildo, José Carlos Acha, and the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez.
Fresnadillo emphasised that the movie is a fantasy narrative that explores the realm of parenthood and the “struggle for existence” of the lead character -Millie Bobby Brown-, who resists an undesired marriage until transforming into a “resilient” and “self-reliant” woman who surpasses boundaries she never imagined.
