SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 4th March (EUROPA PRESS) –
An accord was reached today, Monday, between Metrotenerife company and the strike committee, leading to a modification of the strike initiated by tram workers on 9th February.
As per the agreement, the strike will be suspended all day on Mondays and Fridays, and during the time window from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays every week.
This means the strike will only continue on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, during the hours from 7:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m. and from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Furthermore, a supervisory committee will be set up to ensure the compliance of the agreed terms. This committee will comprise three representatives from each party, the company, and the strike committee, with the current mediator in the negotiations, the lawyer and Labour Law professor, Mónica Molina, appointed as the chairperson.
