The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) predicts cloudy skies in the north of the more prominent islands with light to moderate rain, and partly cloudy skies elsewhere. Temperatures will decrease in the midlands and mountain peaks, with moderate trade winds and occasional strong gusts.

Very strong gusts will be occasional in mountain peaks and northwest and southeast slopes of the mountainous islands, more likely in La Palma until early afternoon, in La Gomera throughout the day, as well as in the Teno massif and southeast of Tenerife during daylight hours.

Regarding sea conditions, there will be northeast winds of force 4 or 5, 5 or 6, locally reaching 7, creating rough seas; on the west, south, and southwest coasts, winds will be variable in force from 1 to 4 with slight to moderate waves.

Expect occasional rain and a north or northeast swell with waves of 1 to 2 meters, reaching up to 3 meters on the Gran Canaria coast.

The forecast by island is as follows:

Moderate trade winds with occasional strong gusts, particularly likely in southeast and northwest slopes, as well as exposed summits and Tejeda basin where they are particularly probable in the late hours.
