The Port Police and Local police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife have served eviction notices to individuals camping in the vicinity of the beach connected to the Maritime Park. Visual evidence shared by the police depicts over 15 tents encroaching on the area.
According to the Port Authority of the capital, this constitutes the third notification issued to the occupants, with a final ultimatum being the fourth and conclusive warning if prompt retreat is not undertaken. Failure to comply will result in eviction proceedings carried out by the Port Police during the month of March.
In August of the previous year, 12 hut users who were settled on this beach voluntarily vacated the premises post a directive from the City Council to clear out possessions and structures. However, additional huts emerged weeks later.
In November, the local administration solicited cooperation from the port authorities, who assured initiation of requisite protocols to terminate the encampment.
