Born on September 18, 1938 in Güímar, Tenerife, Mario Hernández Sanginés lived a life devoted to empowering the marginalized. He breathed his last on February 21, 2024, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, encircled by his nearest and dearest, carrying forward the legacy of family physicians.
