How is the weather shaping up for this Saturday in the Canary Islands?

This Saturday, northeast winds of up to 70 km/h will be recorded in mountainous areas and southwest of the islands, according to the State Meteorological Agency.

In the sea, there will be northwest and southeast coasts with northeast winds of force 5 or 6 picking up to 7 further offshore, with rough to very rough seas. In the eastern and northeastern coasts, northeast force 4 or 5 and rough to very rough seas. Northwest swell of 1 to 2 meters, increasing to 2 to 3 in the afternoon and to 3 to 4 from late at night.

ISLAND-BY-ISLAND FORECAST FOR THIS SATURDAY:

Cloudy with possible occasional light rains in the north, partly cloudy in the rest. Minimum temperatures steady or slightly decreasing; maximum temperatures slightly to moderately decreasing, especially in inland areas. Moderate to strong northeast winds, stronger in the southeast and northwest slopes where very strong gusts exceeding 70 km/h could occur in mountainous areas and western slopes.

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria 17 21

Interval clouds clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures unchanged or slightly decreasing in maximums. Moderate to strong northeast winds, stronger in inland areas.

Arrecife 16 22

Cloudy intervals tending to partly cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures steady or slightly decreasing in maximums. Moderate to strong northeast winds, intensifying in inland areas.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

Puerto del Rosario 17 21

Cloudy with occasional light rains likely in the northeast, partly cloudy on the south coasts and mostly clear elsewhere. Minimum temperatures steady and maximum temperatures slightly decreasing, more pronounced inland. Moderate to strong northeast winds, stronger in high areas of the southeastern metropolitan area in the early hours, lower southeastern areas and especially in the westernmost regions, with likely very strong gusts of up to 70km/h.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife 17 21

Cloudy in the north, with low chances of occasional light rains, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimum temperatures unchanged, maximums slightly decreasing. Moderate to strong northeast winds, intensifying on the eastern and western slopes, with probable very strong gusts of up to 70km/h in mountainous areas.

EXPECTED MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES (°C):

San Sebastián de La Gomera 16 22

Cloudy in the north with low chances of occasional light rains, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimum temperatures unchanged, maximums slightly decreasing. Moderate to strong northeast winds, with probable very strong gusts of up to 70km/h in mountainous areas and the southwest.

Santa Cruz de La Palma 16 20

Cloudy in the north with low chances of occasional light rains, and partly cloudy elsewhere. Minimum temperatures unchanged, maximums slightly decreasing. Moderate to strong northeast winds, with likely very strong gusts of up to 70km/h in mountainous areas and the southwest.
