SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 22nd Feb (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the PP of the Canary Islands and vice president of the Government, Manuel Domínguez, expressed his “utmost respect” for the internal investigation initiated by the Executive to clarify the involvement of the autonomous community in the purchase of masks linked to the ‘Koldo case’. He also regretted the negative portrayal of the islands and the management of the ‘Las Flores Pact’.
Speaking to journalists, he noted that the objective of this initiative is “to ascertain the contracts that have been made” and “the approach” used to procure the masks from the company associated with the former advisor to the Minister of Transportation, José Luis Ábalos.
“We will then see what demands are placed on us by the justice system. We will make all this available so that appropriate measures can be taken,” he said.
He also mentioned that as president of the PP, they are “anticipating the outcome of these internal analyses” and would then “undoubtedly” take action.
Additionally, he recalled how in the last session, the possibility of discussing the formation of an investigation committee for the ‘mask case’ was obstructed in Parliament – now under the jurisdiction of the European Prosecutor’s Office for the payment of four million for a million units that were not received–.
“I hope and desire that all of this is clarified as soon as possible,” he stated.
