Two individuals were arrested by the Local Police of La Laguna for drug trafficking and driving under the influence of narcotics during a routine check on Avenida de la Trinidad, Tenerife.
The incident took place at midnight on Monday, February 20, during a static vehicle control on Avenida de La Trinidad.
Upon inspecting a Toyota Corolla, a pungent smell of narcotics led the officers to search the vehicle. This search resulted in the seizure of thirteen bags of marijuana, weighing 1,050 kilos, along with various cultivation utensils and a list of potential clients.
Furthermore, the driver tested positive for cocaine, THC, and amphetamines. Subsequently, both individuals were arrested and taken into judicial custody after being evaluated at the San Benito Health Center.
