A 38-year-old man was seriously injured after a lorry hit him while he was walking on the TF-1 highway at kilometer 28 southbound, near Güímar, in Tenerife, as reported by the Coordinating Center of Emergencies 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands on Sunday.
The incident took place on Saturday night, around 11:30 p.m. The man suffered multiple severe traumas initially.
The injured person was transported by a medical ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital after receiving initial treatment by SUC personnel, who stabilized him.
Firefighters assisted in securing the area, and the Civil Guard oversaw the procedures.
