SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 18th February (EUROPA PRESS) –
In a house fire today in the municipality of Tacoronte, Tenerife, a 10-year-old girl sustained severe poisoning from smoke inhalation. Additionally, a 40-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child were also affected.
The incident took place at 10:30 a.m. when the 1-1-2 operational room received a report of a fire in a single-family home on La Sabina Street. Consequently, it promptly mobilized the necessary emergency resources.
Upon arrival, the occupants of the house were already outside. The Fire Consortium team extinguished the flames, which had originated in the living room, and ventilated the property.
The SUC staff administered medical assistance to the affected individuals and arranged for their transfer to the Hospital de Universitario de Canarias. Apart from the 10-year-old, the woman suffered from moderate smoke inhalation poisoning, and the 3-year-old was taken for evaluation.
