An Underage Individual at Serious Risk After Smoke Inhalation Poisoning Incident in Tacoronte



A minor under the age of 10 is in serious condition after a fire broke out in their home in Tacoronte (Tenerife) on Sunday. A woman is also in moderate condition, and a 3-year-old child is awaiting evaluation due to the effects of the fire, as reported by the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Canary Islands Government.

The incident took place at 10:30 in a property in the La Sabina area. At the time of the emergency response, the minor had suffered severe smoke inhalation poisoning and was subsequently transferred to the Canary Islands University Hospital in a medical ambulance.

The 40-year-old woman also experienced moderate smoke inhalation and was transported to the same hospital. Meanwhile, the 3-year-old child was also taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The Tenerife Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames that originated in the living room and ventilated the property.

Fortunately, the occupants of the house were already outside when the emergency responders arrived.

The affected individuals were provided with medical care and transported to the hospital by SUC personnel, with the Local Police overseeing the necessary procedures.
