Police officers from the Local police have detained a 25-year-old man who is believed to have sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl during the Piñata Saturday of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival as stated in an announcement by the City Council on Sunday.
As per the report by local police, The incident took place in Plaza de España and upon seeking assistance from the authorities, the girl was taken to the Violet Point of the Carnival Hospital.
The police officers connected with the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office escorted the victim to a healthcare facility and then to the police station, and also notified her mother.
Utilizing an image of the costume worn by the detained individual, the police team stationed in the vicinity near Plaza del Príncipe identified and apprehended the individual known as CJBD
At the Violet Point within the Carnival Hospital, the personnel in charge advised two women, one being the victim of the previously mentioned sexual assault, and the other potentially falling under the category of gender violence.
