The budget for Tacoronte City Council for 2024 amounts to 26,813,002 euros, approved by the Plenary with the votes in favor of PSOE, CC and PP (governing group), against NC, Yes We Can and VOX, and the abstention of We are Tacoronte and Citizens. This is the first budget of the City Council since 2020, so the increase is 39.1%, which is reduced to 5.6% compared to the advanced settlement (23.3 million) of the 2023 extended budget.

Tacoronte will have more than six million euros for direct investments, although the budget gathers almost 1.7 to undertake 23 “very important” projects. This list includes the covering of the Sports City (315,000 euros), improvement of energy efficiency in municipal facilities (400,000 euros), the municipal contribution to the Municipal Cooperation Plan dedicated to sanitation works (300,000 euros), conditioning of the municipal cemetery (42,700 euros), and the rehabilitation of the Los Andes building in Barranco Las Lajas (75,000 euros).

In addition, it adds 4,348,769 euros from commitments undertaken and consolidated during the last quarter of 2023, such as improving sidewalks, trees, and signposting in the urban area (1,873,769.34 euros), the sanitation of the health center (225,000 euros), the expansion of Hoya Machado Park (550,000 euros), and the free space of Chupadero (600,000 euros).

The councillor for Finance, Eduardo Dávila, assured the Plenary that they will not increase direct and indirect taxes, fees, and public prices and highlighted Employment, Tourism, Commerce, Workshops, and Seniors (886,500 euros), Education (217,640 euros), Home Care Service (539,000 euros), Parks and Gardens (790,000 euros), Sports Activities (100,000 euros), Community Welfare (4,437,732 euros), Social Services and Social Promotion (2,502,177 euros), Culture (2,231,778 euros), Housing and Urbanism (1,650,434 euros), Citizen Security and Mobility (1,563,007 euros), Education (1,804,977 euros), Infrastructure (1,263,069 euros), and Employment (878,566 euros).
