SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 5th February (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Tenerife Rural Foundation, under the administration of the Cabildo of Tenerife, has curated a collection of 10 self-guided hiking routes to be explored from February to December in various locations across the island.
Speaking on behalf of the Primary Sector, Valentín González, stated, “These routes offer an opportunity to experience the essence of Tenerife through its landscapes and rich traditions.” He also emphasized that “they cater to all types of audiences, providing an excellent opportunity for both visitors and residents to immerse themselves in Tenerife’s breathtaking rural landscapes.”
The series of 10 routes commence on the upcoming Saturday, 24th February, with the first route being ‘Por las Orillas de la Isla Baja’ in Los Silos-Isla Baja.
Subsequent routes are scheduled for Saturday, 23rd March in Güímar (Chacaica, San Juan, Camino Inmemorial del Agua), Saturday, 27th April in Granadilla (Cuarterías del Sur, Memory of a time of hard work), Saturday, 25th May in Tegueste-Tejina (Organic agriculture in the fertile valleys of the north), Saturday, 29th June in Tacoronte (Artisanal fishing in an Atlantic without barriers), Saturday, 27th July in La Laguna-El Rosario (Llanos de la Dehesa dressed in cereal), Saturday, 21st September in Icod de los Vinos (Icod de los Vinos and its Portuguese footprints), Saturday, 26th October in La Laguna (Gañanías laguneras), Saturday, 23rd November in La Matanza (November, times of chestnuts) and Saturday, 14th December in Adeje (Altos de Adeje, a timeless viewpoint).
