The real estate agent, Corina Mrazek González, has been on cloud nine for several months, not only due to her role as a cabin crew member at Binter. After being crowned Miss World Spain, and prior to taking on the global stage, she had the opportunity to vie for the title of Carnival Queen, a childhood dream come true. She admits that the experience is incredibly gratifying and has completely altered her perception of the carnival.
-What are your emotions as a candidate for Queen?
“It’s my debut and I’m tremendously thrilled. I had mutual contacts with Santi Castro’s team, and they facilitated the introduction. They were of the opinion that I fit the desired profile and could be the candidate they were seeking. I am highly excited and grateful to both Santi, his team, and my sponsor, the Añaza Carrefour Shopping Center, for believing in me.”
-How long have you aspired to wear a Queen’s gown?
“Carnival holds immense personal significance, and participating in the Carnival Queen competition has been a lifelong dream for many of us. Witnessing it on television annually, it seemed almost unattainable, so merely participating feels like a victory. I am elated, with a burning passion and enthusiasm. The team’s relentless efforts and dedication are truly rewarding to witness, as it is heartening to see numerous individuals working towards a common dream and goal.”
-How are you managing the preparation and the extensive work involved?
“It’s complex as I am employed at Binter, a company that has been incredibly supportive throughout this adventure. It involves efficient organisation and unwavering commitment, establishing a daily routine, making time for gym visits multiple times a week. Subsequently, I liaise with the team for fittings, workshops attendance, participating in the creation of my cherished fantasy – which was also my childhood aspiration – practicing with headdresses, and perfecting the costume.”
-How are your family and friends embracing this journey with you?
“My family is enthusiastically involved, almost to a greater extent than myself. I am overjoyed; this experience has exceeded my expectations. I anticipated it to be exceptionally beautiful, but fully immersing myself in it has indeed made it one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. If given the chance, I would relive it over and over again. I am delighted to share this journey with Santi Castro and his entire team.”
-What are your visions for your stage appearance at the gala?
“I am slightly nervous as we approach the final stretch, making the last adjustments to the attire alongside the team. Although everything is nearly under control, there is a lingering concern about any last-minute hiccups. The moment is imminent, nerves are on edge, yet I am eagerly anticipating a successful outcome.”
-Can you provide insights into the envisioned fantasy appearance?
“I can’t reveal much, but it deviates from the customary style associated with Santi Castro. His boundless imagination has been poured into this creation, leaving me astounded at the sheer quantity of ideas and intricate details. To me, this embodies Santi’s team’s finest work yet; they are continually outdoing themselves. Undoubtedly, it is set to be a spectacular sight.”
-What would it signify to be crowned Queen or be part of her court?
“Undoubtedly, it would signify the fulfilment of a dream, the achievement of a goal and, above all, immense satisfaction, as during the gala, I am the embodiment of the team’s collective efforts. In the fleeting three minutes of my performance, I must give voice to all those who have worked tirelessly with unwavering enthusiasm for months. I bear the responsibility of elevating them to the highest possible pedestal.”
-What does Carnival symbolize for you? Will you be venturing out onto the streets?
“Annually, my family and I revel in the thematic preparations for the attire as we partake in the street festivities. I have a penchant for the Day Carnival, and although this year, I am partaking in it in a different capacity, venturing out and immersing in the Carnival celebrations is an occasion not to be missed.”
