The celebration of the Virgin of Candelaria holds significant traditional value on the stunning island of Tenerife. On the upcoming 2nd of February, thousands of pilgrims are expected to visit the island town. It’s crucial to be familiar with all the bus schedules of Titsa, as the authorities have emphasized the importance of utilizing public transportation.

Titsa (Interurban Transport of Tenerife), the transportation company of the City Council of Tenerife, will introduce an exceptional service next Friday to enhance the connections of the metropolitan area with the Villa Mariana de Candelaria, in celebration of the patron saint of the Canary Islands.

The company will add new departures to the usual schedule on line 122 from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange.

Additionally, a special line, 522, will be activated to directly connect the La Laguna and Candelaria Interchange. The bus will operate in both directions on the North Highway (TF-5), Link Highway (TF-2), and South Highway (TF-1).

This special route will have departures from the La Laguna Interchange at 08:20, 09:00, 09:30, 10:20, 11:00, 11:40, 13:00, 13:30, 14:20, and 14:50 hours. From Candelaria, trips will be at 08:50, 09:40, 10:10, 11:00, 11:30, 12:20, 1:40 p.m., 2:10 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 3:20 p.m.

All the schedules can be checked on the website www.titsa.com, or by contacting Titsa at 922.53.13.00 and through the company’s social media platforms.

Through this initiative, the company aims to facilitate the use of public transport for all pilgrims traveling to Candelaria, consequently contributing to traffic flow and alleviating the challenges associated with parking during such large-scale events.
