Rollover accident near Güímar causes major congestion on the TF-1

A collision between two cars on the TF-1 near El Puertito de Güímar led to three people sustaining injuries on Wednesday. This accident resulted in significant delays on the southbound lane of the highway.

The incident took place after 8:45 a.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received multiple reports of the collision and rollover of a vehicle.

The injured individuals include a 25-year-old woman who was transported by ambulance to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital for evaluation, a 50-year-old man with minor injuries who was taken to the Güímar Health Center, and a 43-year-old woman experiencing an anxiety crisis.

The Tenerife Fire Brigade Consortium secured the vehicles involved in the collision and extricated an occupant from the overturned vehicle. Subsequently, the Civil Guard managed the traffic on the road and filed the necessary report after providing medical attention.

The Road Maintenance Service personnel carried out the necessary cleaning tasks on the road.
