The governing council of the Cabildo de Tenerife has approved a revision of the necessary conditions to access free public transport on the island, including buses and trams.
Consequently, the minimum number of trips has been reduced to 30 in a three-month period, as opposed to the previous 15 per month.
Furthermore, this measure has been extended to non-residents who can provide proof of their registration, as stated by the president of the Tenerife Cabildo, Rosa Dávila.
In reference to the modification, the president also emphasized that it ensures increased “flexibility” within the free transport system.
In December, the Cabildo announced an extension of free public transport on the island until 2024, following the Council of Ministers’ approval to extend public transport incentives for regular commuters for another year.
