The nights ahead will bring variations in traffic conditions along the South Highway Tenerife. According to a press release from the Island Council, the TF-1 will undergo changes due to various road interventions by the General Directorate of Road Infrastructure of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The modifications primarily involve conducting geotechnical tests for the project entitled: “TF-1. Section: The Americas– Fañabé. Enhanced capacity of collector roads over simulated tunnels.
These works will commence today, Monday the 29th, and will continue on January 30, 31, and February 1 and 5, during the night from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. A temporary closure of the right lane will be in place for certain sections of the road.
Consequently, the aforementioned tests will impact the sector between the PP.KK. 73+800 and 78+200 of the TF-1, across various subsections and on both carriageways.
At each location, shoulder work will occupy a part of the right lane, necessitating the closure of the right lane in a specific segment. The diversion will involve initially closing the fast lane and then redirecting to it, subsequently closing the slow lane.
Damaso Arteaga, the Minister of Highways at Tenerife Council, urges drivers to exercise caution and to adhere to the instructions of the Road Conservation personnel and the signage placed along the affected stretches of road.
