Canary Islands Weather Forecast for Saturday

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) maintains yellow warnings for haze and wind in Santa Cruz de Tenerife province this Saturday. Expect partly cloudy to clear skies with high cloud intervals and stable temperatures.

The wind is expected to blow from the east or southeast with force 4 or 5, possibly reaching force 6 in certain areas, particularly along the northern coasts. Anticipate swell or strong swell, decreasing to swell, and northwest swell of 1 to 2 meters high.

Here is the island-by-island forecast for Saturday:

Mostly clear skies, with some high cloud intervals towards the end of the day. Possibility of haze, especially during the afternoon. Minor temperature fluctuations. Moderate to strong southeast wind, with a low chance of locally very strong gusts in inland areas and on northern and western slopes. Wind is expected to subside in the afternoon, shifting to the east.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): Reef 17 23

Clear skies with potential haze, particularly in the afternoon. Minimal temperature changes, except for slight decreases in minimum temperatures. Moderate to strong southeast wind, with a low probability of locally very strong gusts on the western slope. Wind is expected to ease in the afternoon, turning light to moderate northeast.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): Puerto del Rosario 17 23

Partially cloudy or clear with high cloud intervals in the afternoon. Anticipate Calima, particularly on southern and eastern slopes. Minimal temperature changes, except for slight increases in maximums and slight decreases in minimums on the northeast slope. Moderate southeast wind, with strong intervals on northeast and west slopes. Wind is expected to ease towards the end of the day and shift south on summits.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): The Gran Canarian palms 17 25

TENERIFE

Partially cloudy or clear with high cloud intervals in the afternoon. Expect significant Calima on the southern and eastern slopes, with a warning in effect. Minimal temperature changes except on northern metropolitan slopes. Moderate winds with strong intervals from the southeast. Warning in place for possible very strong gusts on the northern slope of the metropolitan area during mid-day. Similar conditions may occur on the southwest slope. Wind is expected to decrease in intensity by afternoon. Moderate south-southwest winds on central summits.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): Santa Cruz de Tenerife 18 25

Partially cloudy or clear with high cloud intervals during mid-day. Anticipate significant Calima on southern slopes, with a warning in effect. Temperature stability or slight decrease from the minimums. Moderate winds with strong intervals from the southeast. Low probability of very strong gusts on summits and northern and western slopes, which are expected to ease by afternoon.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): San Sebastián de La Gomera 18 23

Partially cloudy or clear with high cloud intervals in the morning. Significant Calima expected on the southern and eastern slopes, with a warning in effect. Stable temperatures. Moderate southeast wind, with strong intervals on the southwest and northeast slopes. Wind is expected to shift south by the end of the day.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): Santa Cruz de La Palma 17 26

Partially cloudy or clear with high cloud intervals in the morning. Significant Calima expected on southern slopes, with a warning in effect. Minimal temperature changes or slight increase in maximum temperatures. Moderate to strong southeast wind. Warning for very strong gusts, mainly affecting summits and the El Golfo area, during mid-day. Expected gusts to ease in the afternoon.

Expected minimum and maximum temperatures (°C): Valverde 16 22
