The bands Guachinquietas, Triqui-Traques, Los Diablos Locos, Bambones, Burlonas, Mamelucos, Trapaseros, and Los Irónico have made it to the final of the murgas competition at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2024 after being selected in the three previous phases.
The City Council reminds everyone that the final will take place this Friday, hosted by RTVC journalists Laura Afonso and Alexis Hernández, starting with a non-competitive performance by the Afilarmónica Ni Fú-Ni Fá.
Journalist and communicator Manoj Daswani will continue to engage with murgas fans on social media, making the contest and the Chicharrero Carnival a hot topic in Spain.
The judging panel for Interpretation includes Carlos Ascander Burgos Pineda, a musician; María Sabrina Lemus Carmenatti, a singing teacher, composer, manager, and international coach; José Alberto Hernández, a singer from Los Cantadores; Daida Reyes García, an announcer, presenter, and TV producer; and María Herrera Noda, an editor of Good morning, Canary Islands from RTVC.
The panel also includes María Olarte Lecuona, a new contributor of Intimate Stories from the stage; Alberto Delgado Jiménez, director and producer of cultural and musical events at Makaron; Juanito Panchín, a comedian; and Norberto Trujillo (Bolaños), an actor and acting teacher at the Lecuona School.
The Presentation section jury consists of Beatriz Eugenia Delgado Gaspar, a Fine Arts graduate and professor of Graphic Design at the Fernando Estévez School of Art and Design; Anamig Francis Amador, a Carnival costume designer; and Patricia Hodgson Ravina, a Fine Arts graduate, painter, and art curator.
