Arona Transformation: Building Anticipation at the Biggest Tourism Event

The latest slogan from one of the primary tourist municipalities in theCanary IslandsArona changes you, is generating “expectation” among attendees on the opening day of the leading tourism fair globally, Fitur, as “the municipality has been and continues to be a point of reference within Spain’s most significant tourist destinations.” This is how the Aronero City Council highlights its involvement in the event in Madrid. Fátima Lemes, Mayor of Arona, emphasized in Madrid that Arona started with the Exceltur Forum, “where we were able to witness presentations on tourism excellence and quality on the most current and compelling topics with the goal of enhancing sustainability.” “And we persist in our efforts at Fitur, where we participated in the signing of the agreement between the Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands (AMTC) and Telefónica for the digitalization of destinations. In addition, we will be holding a meeting at FiturTech. These are intense days of presentations at the Canary Islands stand and establishing connections with companies and administrations,” she stated.

Accommodating León‘s Tourism Councillor, pointed out that Arona is in Madrid “to showcase their destination to the entire world and highlight specific meetings with significant tourism agents, such as Jet2, who are increasing flight numbers to Tenerife South, in this case, for Arona, in agreement with over 30 hotels.

“We are striving to elucidate that Arona is more than just a sun and beach retreat, it is also a diverse destination where visitors can savor not only our retail and culinary offerings but also our traditions, our natural surroundings in Arona, our captivating coastal region, and everything it has to offer on a destination scale,” Leon expressed.

Arona will be taking center stage today while introducing the strategy incorporated in the Arona changes you campaign. The municipality is positioning itself as a multi-destination, reinforcing the notion of a distinctive tourist hub that adapts to changes and aligns with the future to progress into the realm of a smart tourism destination. There will also be an opportunity to showcase the advantages of Arona as a destination for experiences and nature, spotlighting the sustainable worth of its abundant natural spaces, advantages that complement the already established sun and beach, shopping, gastronomy, noteworthy sports and cultural events, and inclusivity for all demographics.
