SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 20 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A man, about whom no further information has been released, has been arrested upon arrival at the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife as the alleged perpetrator of a drug trafficking crime, having been caught with 51 kilos of hashish hidden in the car.
The police operation has been carried out by officials from the Customs Surveillance Operational Unit of the Tax Agency in Tenerife and agents from the Fiscal and Border Section of the Civil Guard of the Port of Santa Cruz.
After identifying and interviewing the now accused, the agents were able to verify that at all times his state was nervous, which led to the decision to carry out a superficial inspection of the vehicle. Inside the car, hidden in different rooms, 518 hashish pills weighing 51.6 kilos and 185 euros of cash were found.
The actions have been carried out by the tax inspection points that have been located on the dock of the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife upon the arrival of maritime line vessels.
