The stage of the Santa Cruz Carnival 2024, located in the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds, hosts tomorrow, Sunday the 21st, at 5:00 p.m., the Choreographic Groups competition. This year the event will feature the participation of the groups Moana, Yu-Funk Danceschool, Onys Escuela de Baile, Azahar, Star Dance, Ballet Dance, Odali, Luther King San Miguel, CD Andreína Acosta, Ibaute, Wild Dance, Loli Pérez, LS Tribu, Crazy Dancer, Mi Escuela de Baile Los Realejos, Crew of Dreams, Patronato Cultural Arona, Funkyguachi and Los Bohemios.
More than 1,000 dancers will star in this contest, in which the members of the groups offer the public the choreographies they have prepared for the occasion in recent months.
At the end of the contest, the winners in the Interpretation and Presentation categories will be known with a jury that will be composed of Presentation by Leticia Zamora Méndez, Graduate in Fine Arts and plastic artist; María del Carmen Almenara Ramos, fashion specialist technician; and Evelyn Reiriz Vieira, Graduate in Fine Arts and illustrator.
In Interpretation, those responsible for deciding the winners will be Domingo Ramos Aponte (Domingo Aponte), director and teacher of the Pura Salsa y Sabor School; Joel Peraza Guanche, dancer and choreographer; and Héctor Navarro (Ripoll), Artistic Director of Ballet de Tenerife and the International Dance Center.
The journalists Puchi Méndez, Luz Martín and Víctor Brito will be in charge of presenting a contest that will be offered live by Mírame Televisión, in addition to Channel 4 Televisión and Ahora Televisión, while Televisión Canaria plans to broadcast it on a delayed basis.
Locker room at the entrance
The City Council, following instructions from the Security Plan management, has a luggage room at the entrance to the Fairgrounds, duly signposted, for baby strollers, as well as objects such as motorcycle helmets, needle-point umbrellas and liquid containers that have tapas. Containers for baby food are excluded. The locker has security members who watch over the deposited objects and their return to their owners at the end of each event.
