SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, January 19. (EUROPA PRESS) –

This Friday, the Cabildo of Tenerife presented the sixteenth edition of TLP Tenerife, which will recover its original format at the Fairgrounds, although it will move its dates to the end of summer and will be held from September 3 to 8.

The initiative has the support of the Cabildo, Government of the Canary Islands and the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, companies such as Globalan or Binary Systems and with the promotion of the Innovation and Production Factory of Nakatomi Corp.

The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila; the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez; the Deputy Minister of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alfonso Cabello; the Minister of Innovation, Research and Development of the Cabildo, Juan José Martínez; and the director of the event, Idaira Febles, offered the details of TLP Tenerife, which will have its traditional LAN Party Zone, Summer-CON, K-Pop Championship, Cosplay Esports and numerous training activities.

“We are fulfilling the commitment we acquired with the young people of the island, which is to recover TLP Tenerife, which is not only an event of technology and leisure, but also of training and employment. It returns with the help of the Government of the Canary Islands and the City Council of Santa Cruz and, of course, the organizers, who have made an effort to recover this event,” he explained.

The mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, assured that “it is a great satisfaction” to present the TLP again in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, “which is the place where it was born and developed.”

“We celebrate it again with the same spirit and with the same enthusiasm. It is possibly the most important youth event held in Tenerife and, in addition, there is a movement behind it that generates employment because in this city there are many companies that They are dedicated to the world of video games or animation that generate jobs for people here,” he said.

For his part, Alfonso Cabello indicated that “BPD is a feeling and a way of understanding life, a very powerful cultural concept linked to the 80s and 90s, but there is a whole generation that comes with that telepero feeling that is very embedded and “It is a strategic sector and a determined commitment by the Government of the Canary Islands.”

The Minister of Innovation, Research and Development, Juan José Martínez, indicated that “it is great news for everyone” that ‘TLP Tenerife’ returns, “a commitment by Rosa Dávila that is now a reality and is going to be an event with many new features, much more powerful than in other editions”.

ALMOST THIRTY DEVELOPERS

Thus, he indicated that there will be 27 development studios from Tenerife that will be joined by leading national companies “that will generate all that breeding ground that generates new business initiatives.”

“We are talking about new projects within the TLP ecosystem, which is a very important business opportunity and that continues to consolidate us as a top-level destination in the video game industry,” he commented.

Idaira Febles pointed out that it is important to “contribute the enthusiasm, love and values ​​that make up TLP Tenerife and that are shared by the people who make up the community.”

Specifically, he said, “we talk about art, creativity, illustrations, paintings, living a game as if it were their own life; with those people who decide to spend a week with their friends and also to meet new people.”

“BPD IS CARRIED IN THE HEART”

Febles also assured that “TLP is carried in the heart and is a set of different tastes, art, technology and, above all, it is welcomed, it is home.”

For this reason, he thanked the Cabildo for its support, which is the institution that saw them “born” and now they are “working hard to have the best event possible.”

“There will be new things that we will discover little by little, with new spaces for all audiences,” he explained.

The ticket sale date for the LAN Party Zone will be announced soon, as well as the option to purchase tickets in advance for the Summer-Con Zone. In addition, over the next few months more activities will be reported through the event website and social networks, according to a note from the Cabildo.

The Tenerife Fairgrounds makes 24,000 square meters available to TLP Tenerife, through which hundreds of meters of network cables, electronic devices and, above all, fun and training will run for six days.

Thus, it will have the LAN Party area, with a capacity for 1,500 seats, and the Summer-Con area, which will bring together the recreational and educational program related to the world of manga, comics, animation and Asian culture.

The LAN Party area will have 1,500 seats for people who ‘want to return home’, as stated in one of the most significant and historical mottos of TLP Tenerife.

COEXISTENCE 24 HOURS A DAY

People who get a ticket will live together 24 hours a day for the six days of the event and share their passion for video games, esports and technological culture.

The Summer-Con Zone will have activities for all audiences with the largest offering in the history of TLP Tenerife where you will find, among others, educational workshops focused on new technologies, presence of the most important board game publishers nationwide. , crafts, access to the console and video game area, competitions in different areas and many surprises and guests yet to be announced.

This edition also brings back the TLP K-Pop Championship, a competition that seeks to show the best selection of groups and soloists in the archipelago in this form of dance that has been so fashionable in recent years.

The main stage will also make way for the ‘Cosplay’ that will welcome all the people who dare to characterize characters from the world of cinema, anime or video games.

The organization has also planned that more than 60 artists will have a booth to exhibit and sell their works to visitors to this Summer-Con.

As for esports, the team is working to ensure that TLP 2024 is at the highest possible level.

Thus, more than 30 competitions in four different types of tournaments that will take place in a very wide range of titles, from League of Legends and Tekken 8 to Just Dance and Fortnite.
