He remains in a coma after suffering an accident in the Canary Islands

Through the famous platform, Go Found Mea fundraising campaign has been launched after a tragic accident that left the mother of a Scottish Hibernian player in an induced coma while enjoying a holiday in the Canary Islands, specifically in Tenerife.

Julie Hunter, mother of Siobhan Hunter, current Hibs star in the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL)was seriously injured in an unspecified accident, suffering two skull fractures and two brain hemorrhages, as reported by the British media The Sun.

Siobhan and her sister Georgi have led an emotional appeal through the famous fundraising page to help their mother. The Campaignstarted by Georgi last night, has already raised an impressive 22,250 pounds – about 25,920 at the exchange rate -, far exceeding its initial goal of 2,000 – around 2,300 euros -.

In the description of the fundraisingGeorgi explains: “Hello, my name is Georgi, I am raising funds for our mother Julie, as she had an accident during her holiday in Tenerife. [Ella] He now has two skull fractures and two brain hemorrhages. She has been placed in an induced coma and she is in critical condition. We are raising funds to allow us as a family to be with her. Unfortunately, things are not looking good and as a family we cannot afford to stay with our mother. Please help us be with her, any donation would be gratefully received.”

The touching request It received a quick response from users on social networks, who generously donated more than 19,000 euros to the Hunter family. More than 600 people contributed, sharing positive messages and support on the GoFundMe page.

“I’m so sorry to read this, praying for all of you, come on Julie you can do it.” Charlene Gallagher said: “Julie, you are a fighter, praying for you.” Jade Weir commented: “Sending lots of love to you all,” said Caroline Hill.

Hibs player Siobhan He got engaged in Tenerife last year to his teammate, Shannon McGregor.

He leith team are currently in fourth position in the SWPL table, two points ahead of Edinburgh rivals Hearts. The season is scheduled to resume this weekend after the winter break.
