The Canarian vice president says that CC must “take into account” that the “cessions” to the independentists affect the ‘Canarian agenda’

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the PP of the Canary Islands and vice president of the Government, Manuel Domínguez, has called this Thursday the Government of Pedro Sánchez “harmful” for the islands, which is why he has urged the Canary Coalition (CC) to review its imposition in the Cortes and renegotiate the agreements signed with the PSOE.

In a statement he accused Pedro Sánchez of continuing to “auction off” the equality of Spaniards every fifteen days “in exchange for remaining in La Moncloa.”

“He presides over the Government that can give the least certainty to all Spaniards; the only ones who are certain about their well-being are the pro-independence politicians who support the central Executive,” he noted.

According to the leader of the popular parties in the archipelago, “last Wednesday the weakness of the Government of Spain was confirmed, and it was exposed in the showcase that we are facing an agonizing legislature with a president imprisoned by his partners and subjected to permanent blackmail by a fugitive from justice”.

Given this, he pointed out, “the Spaniards need urgent explanations from the Government, neither Sánchez nor any of his ministers have been able to explain to the citizens what they have negotiated with Junts or how far they are willing to go to destroy equality between Spanish people”.

The regional president of the PP considers that Sánchez is “playing barter” with the different political formations to obtain the necessary support that allows him to remain in La Moncloa, including in the decrees matters that are of great interest to certain autonomous communities and thus trap them in its objective.

“Spain is in the hands of dozens of parties, in which no one trusts anyone,” he added.

Domínguez has also stated that the President of the Central Executive does not blush when it comes to benefiting certain territories to the detriment of other Spanish regions, “and all for his personal interest.”

THE COVENANT IN THE ISLANDS IS “SOLID”

In his opinion, “opening the door to harming the freedom of movement of companies or cutting up crucial powers such as immigration is of no importance to Sánchez’s Socialist Party, let us not forget that some of these decisions directly affect the Canary Islands, such as the derivation that is intended to be carried out on unaccompanied migrant minors or the establishment of Catalan companies on the islands, about 150, which are generating numerous jobs in our land.

Regarding the existence of possible fissures in the government pact maintained by the PP and the Canary Coalition (CC) for the governance of the archipelago, and after the support offered by the nationalist formation to the Government decrees, Domínguez has defended that the agreement between both formations “is solid, it is working very well.”

“We are coordinated, we share the same objective, to work for the Canary Islands, as well as to improve and ensure the well-being of the Canary Islands. As on the first day, there is very good harmony, we continue to support this Government that, without a doubt, is the best for the islands “, he pointed out.

Thus, he has insisted that CC renegotiate the agreements signed so that the Government “does not abandon and betray the islands again in matters as relevant as irregular immigration.”

In his opinion, “with the concessions to the Catalan independentists, the central government ignores the Canarian agenda, and it is something that CC
must reconsider and take into account.
