The motion presented by the Councilor for Citizens in Santa Cruz, Matilde Zambudio, served to know that the Culture area is preparing, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the first International Exhibition of Sculptures in the Street that is celebrated in 2023, a project of augmented reality that deepens the knowledge of the works that make up this cultural landmark in the city. This was explained by the Councilor for Culture, Gladis de León. According to the project that is already underway, he pointed out that, “this project aims to spread the legacy of the monumental sculptural ensemble that the city owns and transmit it to the public, turning it into an open-air museum.”
“Augmented reality is a technology that tries to perfect the real world by superimposing or adding layers of information through elements created digitally on the environment that surrounds the user, and to have a different vision of reality, allowing in a new way and innovative to obtain interpretive information on the sculptures through robotic technology ”. He added that the project provides for the development of a 360º animated character for the augmented reality project, in a 2D version for adaptation, and 3D modeling to be used in social networks, websites, etc.
