SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, Jan. 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A canoe with 192 migrants on board, all of sub-Saharan origin, arrived this Wednesday at the port of Los Cristianos (Tenerife) in the company of the Salvamar Alpheratz, which had come to their rescue, Maritime Rescue sources inform Europa Press.
The boat was sighted by a merchant ship this morning about 34 miles south of the island and arrived in the south of Tenerife after 2:00 p.m. with 179 men, 12 alleged minors and one woman.
After the health care provided at the foot of the pier, a good general state of health was observed and no referrals were made to health centers.
