At around 7:00 p.m., the presence of Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar was not long in coming at the Castillo de San Felipe to begin the traditional Parade that passed through the central streets of the municipality among thousands of families of Portuenses, more than 15 thousand people along the entire route, who greeted the good news of the arrival of Their Majesties, which is shared with joy and enthusiasm on the most magical night of the year.
After the Parade, organized by the Ya Comen Los Reyes Association in collaboration with the City Council and which was sweetened by more than a ton of candy, Their Majesties received in the upper plaza of the Martiánez Shopping Center before more than two thousand attendees, the key that opens all the Portuense homes at the hands of Mayor Marco González, who thanked Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar and his entire royal entourage and all the volunteers, for the smiles of happiness that they bring to the city every year so that the Portuense boys and girls can experience this night as, without a doubt, “the most special night of the year.”
Their Majesties also thanked the good behavior that the Porto boys and girls have shown throughout the year, so that after a restful sleep after an afternoon full of emotions, they wake up with excitement filled by the passage of Melchior, Gaspar and Baltasar through each and every one of the homes in Puerto de la Cruz.
