The Three Wise Men of the East arrive to La Laguna carrying magic, illusion and gifts



The Three Wise Men are already in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. On the morning of this Friday, January 5, Their Majesties of the East were received at the doors of the City Hall by the mayor of the municipality, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, who welcomed them and gave them the magic keys to the city so that this next early in the morning they can deliver their presents and fill the Laguna homes with happiness.

In addition to the first mayor and other members of the local Corporation, a multitude of boys and girls have attended the meeting with Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar to be able to share an indelible memory with the family and send them their letters with the best wishes for this special night.

Luis Yeray Gutiérrez thanked the Three Wise Men for once again not missing this appointment with the population of the municipality, with whom they have a long tradition. He also encouraged citizens to be part of the great Parade this afternoon, in which there will be no shortage of floats, Disney characters, royal pages, musical groups and endless surprises.

For his part, Melchor expressed the joy and emotion that being back in La Laguna means for the three protagonists of the day and shared his wish that peace spread throughout the world, especially among the most vulnerable families and those who are suffering. the consequences of a war.

Their Majesties of the East will attend to the little ones in the house in the arches of the Town Hall until 2:30 p.m., when they will go up to sign the Town Hall’s golden book and take a short break. At 3:30 p.m., they will leave for the Plaza del Cristo where, at 4:00 p.m., they will perform the act of adoration of the Child Jesus of the Afflicted.

The highlight of this Three Kings Day will arrive at 5:00 p.m. with the start of the traditional Parade, which will start from the Rúa road and then travel through the streets Nava and Grimón, Consistorio, Herradores (uphill), El Tizón, La Carrera (downhill) and, finally, the return along Via Consistorio to Plaza del Cristo.

This year’s Three Kings Parade will once again be inclusive thanks to the Orange Point in Plaza del Adelantado, which will offer sign language interpreters and assistance for people with any type of disability, and the noise-free section that will be enabled at the beginning of the route for the population suffering from hearing hypersensitivity.
