The Socialist Party of La Orotava regrets the distribution of funds for the rehabilitation of housing approved by the Island Council of Tenerife during the celebration of the last extraordinary budget plenary session, “with discrimination that clearly harms our municipality, and almost the entire rest of the Island, in favor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.”

From the PSOE it is highlighted that once again the Cabildo of Tenerife, in the hands of CC and PP supported by VOX and chaired by Rosa Dávila, discriminates against the 30 municipalities of Tenerife compared to the capital of the island, leaving out the funds for rehabilitation of homes for the rest of the municipalities of Tenerife.

For this reason, the Municipal Socialist Group of La Orotava denounces this discriminatory policy “on one of the main problems of our municipality”, thus demonstrating how far the Government Group of the Cabildo of Tenerife is from the real problems of residents of Tenerife. Tenerife.

The PSOE demands a more equitable distribution that allows for the rehabilitation of homes in La Orotava and urges the mayor, Francisco Linares, in his capacity as deputy of the Parliament of the Canary Islands and Island Secretary of the Canary Coalition, to also ask the island Government group for a better distribution of housing resources.
