SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, December 29. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The first edition of the Tenerife Music Festival, an event that will take place on June 8 and 9, 2024, will feature the presence of Marc Anthony, Mikel Izal, Rozalén, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Delaporte, Apoyo Pasillo, Real El Canario and St Pedro, and has managed to sell 15,000 tickets in 24 hours.

The event, which was born with the aim of becoming a festival benchmark worldwide, will take place in the port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and will incorporate some artists who will be revealed by the Festival’s organizing production companies, newEvent and Farra World, throughout the upcoming weeks.

The presentation ceremony held today, Friday, was attended by the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila; the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez; the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez; the president of the Port Authority, Pedro Suárez; the president of Fauca, Abbas Moujir; and the representatives of Farra World and newEvent, Alexis González and Leo Mansito.

Rosa Dávila indicated that the Cabildo joins “two great promoters to turn Santa Cruz into the benchmark for music in Tenerife and the Canary Islands.” “This festival will have a very high importance in boosting the economy. The union of administrations and private initiative has been essential to make it possible and thanks to this the Festival, which was born with a vocation for permanence, has a very powerful poster” , highlighted the president.

José Manuel Bermúdez expressed his gratitude to all parties and highlighted that the collaboration between administrations has given Santa Cruz a place to hold large-format concerts, and he was convinced that it will be a success, while Pedro Suárez indicated that the Port Authority “is committed to this event as a matter of social responsibility.” “This is a way to generate economy and wealth for Santa Cruz,” he added.

Carmen Pérez said that for Santa Cruz it is an honor to host this type of event: “Santa Cruz is fashionable. It is important to continue working on strategic lines to promote the city. This type of event gives us relevance and generates economy.”

For his part, Abba Moujir indicated that the Tenerife Music Festival “will have a multiplier effect within the entire commercial sector, providing a benefit for restaurants, commerce and the accommodation plant.”

The promoters Alexis González and Leo Mansito thanked the institutions for their involvement in being able to carry out an event of these characteristics: “The vocation of the festival is to remain over time, becoming an icon for Tenerife. In 24 hours, 15,000 tickets have been sold and we are working to continue incorporating top-level artists.”

Tenerife Music Festival has a luxury line-up and will bring to the island the Puerto Rican Marc Anthony, winner of three Grammy Awards, who will make the audience sing and dance with songs like ‘Vivir mi vida’, ‘Now who’ or ‘Tu amor me’. does well’. Furthermore, the Navarrese Mikel Izal, former vocalist of the group Izal, lands in Tenerife to present his first solo work ‘El fear y el cielo’, an emotional journey that begins with ‘El fear’, goes through ‘El Grito’, ‘ Faith’, ‘Gluttony’ or ‘Rage’, and ends in ‘The Good’ and ‘Paradise’.

The event will also feature the presence of the singer-songwriter from Albacete and a leading figure in Spanish pop, Rozalén, who will present her new album, of which she has already previewed the single ‘I’m clear’, which has become a superdial and one of the most heard of the moment. There will also be some of her classics such as ‘Girasoles’ or ‘La Puerta Violeta’.

The San Sebastian band La Oreja de Van Gogh will also be part of the first edition of the Tenerife Music Festival. During his performance, the audience will be able to enjoy some of his hits such as ‘Cuídate’, ‘Rosas’, ‘Dulce Locura’ or ‘La Playa’, as well as the songs from his latest album titled ‘Un susurro en lastorm’. and the ninth studio album that they will release in 2024.

Another of the bands that will participate is Delaporte, an Italian-Spanish duo that has become a world reference in electronic music and electro-pop. In this sense, Sandra Delaporte and Sergio Salvi will present their latest album ‘Las Montañas’, and will delight the public with some of their hits such as ‘Cariñito’, ‘Ni un Beso’, ‘Pantera’ or ‘Ángel Callen’.

At the Tenerife Music Festival there will be no shortage of music made in the Canary Islands, with the good vibes of Effect Pasillo, who will present their latest album ‘Los Reyes del Mambo’, in which they have collaborations with artists such as Maikel de la Calle or Bombai . A festive and optimistic live show in which the Canarian group will mix their new songs with great hits from their career such as ‘When I feel good’, ‘Bread and butter’, ‘It doesn’t matter if it rains’ or ‘Carita de Buena’.

Another of the artists joining this edition is St Pedro from Tenerife, who was a finalist for La Voz in 2017 and is participating in the latest edition of the Benidorm Fest, with the aim of representing Spain in Eurovision. The singer, who has collaborated with artists like Alizzz, will take the stage to offer the songs that make up the new album he is working on, and in which he mixes Latin rhythms, going from ballads to salsa and merengue.

The funk, hip-hop, salsa and electronic music of Real El Canario will make the audience present at this 1st edition of the Tenerife Music Festival dance, thanks to songs like ‘Ven pa mi casa’, ‘El Percal’, ‘Orgullo siempre ‘, ‘Happiness’ or ‘Carpe Diem’.
